Any one watch the news?

I'm from a little town that I don't expect any of you to know. Monrovia Indiana is where I went to high school. If any one watched the news two nights ago, you know that a girl from Monrovia is now accusing an old teacher of mine of rapping her. Now, I know both these people on a personal level; I was a co-captain for the the schools  track teem that she was involved in, and not only was I a student for the health teacher & weights teacher that is now being accused of this, but he was also the football coach for my brother a few years back, and I have baby sat his 2 children before with a friend of mine. I will admit that he is perverted, in my weights class there was only 2 girls in the class including myself and inappropriate jokes were made. For some reason his behavior was just accepted throughout the school. No one saw him as an actual threat and we all took his jokes and laughed at them. Last spring during my senior season of track, it was well known that the girl (Miranda) and the teacher texted, which is extremely weird and everyone told her that. But she kept texting him, most likely leading him on. I believe that there is a good chance that they slept together but she is coming forward now with this information because she is ashamed of her own actions, and knows that if she told, she would A.) gain attention, and B.) not have to stand seeing him at school almost everyday and feeling the guilt she deserves to feel because he will soon be fired from her words. She knew what she was getting herself into by texting inappropriately. She could have stopped this at any moment and he would have backed down most likely. But now she is telling the story like he forced her to give him pictures because if she didn't he'd rape her, and she wanted to leave but he denied her. I don't know the actual story, because I was not there, but based on my relationships with both of them, this is how I can imagine it happened based on their characteristics. The majority of people from my hometown who knew the people involved  believe the same ideas as I do about this. I know he is still in the wrong, but she's not miss innocent here either. I hate how when Monrovia actually gets on the news, it's for this.

  2. My brother is in the same grade as her and what ticks me off is that now, she is making jokes about the situation at school. It doesn't seem to affect her that she just ruined some family.
